Contact us
Visited a spring recently and found something different? That is the most useful email we get.
Email is the only way to reach us, and every message is read by a person. We aim to reply within a few working days, and corrections are normally checked and published within a week.
Reporting a change at a spring
If a price, opening time, road, trail or rule has changed, tell us. To help us verify it quickly, include:
- the name of the spring, or the link to its page on this site;
- what has changed: price, hours, road or trail access, a closure, water temperature, clothing rules, tattoo policy;
- when you visited;
- a link to the official notice, or a photo of the sign, if you have one.
We confirm every report with the operator or the land manager before we change a listing, and the listing's check date is updated when we do. If you came from a listing's "Report a change" link, the subject line is already filled in.
Suggesting a spring
Tell us the name, the rough location and how the public gets access (a road, a trail, an operator). We do not publish springs on private land without the owner's permission, or places where more visitors would cause harm or where access is illegal.
Sharing a photo
Many listings still have no photo. If you took one, send it with the spring's name and the name you want in the credit. By sending it you confirm the photo is yours, and you agree that we can publish it on the listing under aCC BY 4.0 license with your credit. Please leave out other soakers, especially at clothing-optional springs.
Hot spring operators
If you run a hot spring, resort, onsen or bathhouse and your listing is wrong, email us from your business address with the correct details and a link to where they are published. Listings are free. They cannot be bought, and paying for advertising does not change what we write.
Privacy requests
To ask what personal information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email us with "Privacy request" in the subject. We answer within 30 days. Our Privacy policy explains what we collect.
Advertising, partnerships and press
For advertising, partnership or media questions, email us with a short description. We do not sell sponsored listings or paid reviews, and we do not publish guest posts.
What we cannot help with
- Bookings, refunds or reservations. Please contact the operator directly; their website is linked on each listing.
- Medical questions about soaking. Ask a doctor, especially if you are pregnant or have a heart condition.
- Emergencies. If someone is hurt at a spring, call the local emergency number (911 in the US and Canada, 112 in Europe, 119 in Japan, 111 in New Zealand).
Before you write, you may find your answer on our About us or How we verify pages.
